Profractional Patient Care Instructions

Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Stop using retinols or active skincare at least 3 days prior to treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. Any sun exposure will result in a delay of treatment.
Post care instructions
- Use the skincare products provided to you as instructed.
- Use a cold compress wrapped in a soft cloth if needed, for 10-15 minutes each hour for 4 hours.
- Showers are permitted, but prolonged bathing is not advised. Gently pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Do not rub with a towel or washcloth because the area is extremely delicate while healing.
- Keep the area hydrated with any moisturizer that does not contain Alpha-Hydroxy acids.
- If any crusting occurs, apply antibiotic cream.
- It is recommended only new makeup is used to reduce the possibility of infections.
- Use a chemical free sunscreen of SPF 25 or higher at all times.
Things to Avoid
- Avoid any trauma to the skin.
- Avoid picking or “popping” any blisters on the treated skin to achieve your best results.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for 1 month and through the course of the treatment to reduce the chance of dark or light spots.
- Avoid tweezing, waxing, bleaching or chemical peels during the course of treatments.
- Do not use any irritants such as Retin-A, Benzoyl Peroxide or Astringents.
- Avoid strenuous exercise and massage.
Post post-treatment symptoms
- You will experience redness for at least 3 days after treatment. You could experience bruising around the eyes for up to 7 days after treatment, if the eye area was treated.
- It is normal for the treated area to feel like sunburn for a few hours.
Your Next Appointment
- Please return to the clinic in 3 weeks for your follow up appointment and follow up photos.
When you should call us
- If you have a fever over 100.4°F (38°C), nausea, hives, yellow or green discharge.
