Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Dressing can be removed in 3 days for women, 7 days for men. Tenderness is normal but should gradually improve after 3 days.
- For men, we recommend icing the area as needed.
Things to avoid
- No strenuous exercise/activity of lower extremity for the first 3 days for women, 7 days for men. Walking is fine.
- No bathing or hot tubs for the first 3 days for women, 7 days for men. Showers are fine.
Post Treatment Symptoms
- Tenderness to the treated area that can last up to 1 week.
- A small amount of bleeding is normal. If it has saturated the dressing, please contact us.
- It may be 7-10 days before you feel the effects of the treatments.
Your next appointment
- You will need follow up lab work after the first insertion. These are done at 4-6 weeks after insertion. You will need an appointment for this, however, if you would like to go through your insurance, a lab order can be given to you at the time of your insertion appointment.
When you should call us
- If you notice signs and symptoms of a fever, increasing pain, worsening swelling, redness, or drainage.
