The image below is a span of almost 15 years. While there is some suspicion of self tanner being used in the earlier version of me, the fact remains that I've gone from very warm skin to just barely warm (thus the reason I've adjusted my hair color). While the difference in my coloring here is significant, the real process is much more gradual...so gradual you don't even notice until you realize the colors you are wearing just don't look quite right anymore.
How often should you re-evaluate?
* Every 3-5 years most of us have some changes in our coloring.
* After a life-changing event (usually stressful)
* Menopause and other hormonal changes
Embrace your color changes and re-invent your look! You can look incredible in colors you never used to be able to wear. For me my blue eyes pop more with lighter skin (changes my contrast level), and I get to have fun with jewel tones and brighter colors.
Try testing it out in front of your mirror: Does pink look more becoming rather than peach or orange? A light yellow (lemonade) rather than a mustard yellow?
How long has it been since you've evaluated your colors?
