After a recent move I felt disconnected from my new house and at a loss on where to begin. Houzz and Pinterest were never far from my fingertips, and of course, HGTV. Multiple trips were made to many stores as I tried different color combinations of pillows and paint, yet nothing felt right. I had it in my mind I wanted a fresh and modern look with lots of bright colors.
Recently a friend asked why I was fighting the obvious. The obvious is that I love neutrality in my clothing more often than not, so wouldn't the same hold true for my home? These colors also suit my personality - I am low key and don't do chaos. A pop of color is okay too, but a riot is not. I'm happy to say I'm now on a roll and things are looking and feeling great!
